Southern Throttle Charities was founded in August 2025 right here in Southwest Florida, born from a simple but powerful belief: that every child in our community deserves a fair start, and every family deserves a strong support network.
We are a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered with the IRS and listed on Candid/GuideStar. Our EIN is 39-3654560. We are fully transparent and accountable to the communities we serve.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower children and families throughout Southwest Florida by providing literacy resources, school-readiness support, essential material assistance, and community connection — removing the barriers that stand between families and a better future.
We believe that:
• Every child deserves to start school with the tools they need to succeed
• Every family deserves compassion, not judgment, when they need help
• Strong communities are built when neighbors support each other
• Local organizations can create lasting change when they stay rooted in the community they serve
Our work is guided by these values every single day — from the backpacks we fill to the events we host to the families we welcome through our doors.
Growing Our Impact
Growing Our Impact
Since launching in August 2025, Southern Throttle Charities has grown from a small community idea into a recognized local nonprofit with active programs, established partnerships, and a growing network of supporters.
What we have accomplished so far:
• Distributed 25+ filled backpacks to children through Children's Garden of LaBelle and Olivia's Rising Stars
• Donated 75 Easter baskets to local families
• Distributed 200+ books in partnership with Barron Library
• Hosted a community Halloween event
• Participated in Kiwanis Kids Day, giving out books to support literacy
• Served 25 children at our Christmas Toy Giveaway at Yuri's Tavern
• Earned Silver Transparency 2026 recognition from Candid/GuideStar
We are just getting started. Every program we run is made possible by donors, volunteers, and community partners who believe every child deserves a fair start.
